Solid Video Corporation (SVC) beginnings can be traced to Solid Corporation which was the exclusive manufacturer / distributor of various Sony brand products in the Philippines from 1971 to 1997. From being a division of Solid Corporation, SVC was officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on October 14, 1984 with the main purpose to sell Sony non-consumer products including professional video recorders and camers, video projectors for institutional ise and language labs for schools. In 1996, SVC became a fully owned subsidiary of Solid Group Incorporated, as publicly listed company under the Philippine Stocks Exchange. From carrying a single brand Sony in its business, SVC has evolved into diversified operation representing over 20 broadcast and professional brands to serve customers not only in product sales and repair service but also in the product training and installation as well as system integration. In its over 30 years of business since 1984, SVC has had its share of successes and setbacks with many valuable lessons learned, making the company what it is today, resilient and trong to face ever changing market challenges.
